| We are happy to share with you all that the wedding has officially been rescheduled! The new date is Saturday, October 10, 2020! Be on the lookout for Wedding Invites in the next few weeks. We look forward to celebrating with you all, locally in Arizona! A lot has happened in the last few months, thanks to COVID. Brett & I have had many discussions on what to do about our wedding ceremony. To our sadness, we have chosen to cancel our wedding ceremony in Mexico on 7/11/2020. With COVID, our original RSVPs went from just over 50 guests to roughly 25 guests. Plus, how much fun would a wedding be if you had to practice Social Distancing? But... have no fear! We are rescheduling the ceremony for later this year! We hope that the change in date will allow more people to attend the ceremony! Stay tuned for updates as more plans come together! Also, keep your eyes open for a new invite in July! Until then, we love you all & hope to celebrate with you soon! November 2nd, 2019, rn Family and Friends, in case you were wondering our invitations will be sent Monday 11/4/2019. We have had an amazing year of trying to fit in as many vacations as possible before children. We can't wait for 2020 and our big day. Can you believe our wedding is less than a year away?!?! We can't either! It seems like time is flying by very quickly! This summer has been somewhat of a whirlwind. We got the pleasure of having Joy's two nieces for an entire month, ages 3.5 & almost 6. While it was a blessing, allowing us to experience what it will be like to have children 24/7, it definitely took some patience and cooperation between us. We were able to take them with us to Lake Powell and spend time on Leah & Craig's (Sister & brother-in-law) houseboat. The girls had an amazing time! On the way home, they also got to stop in Flagstaff and see the trains and Sedona to see Grandma & the red rocks. After the girls left, Joy started working at the office with Brett. Brett has been incredibly busy over the last 3 months often working 6 days a week, 60 hours (or more) a week. Having Joy in the office has allowed him to focus more on the engineering and less on the administrative side of things. Joy has a trip to San Diego with her mom this week and then will be back to teaching on August 1st. We have a trip planned to explore Southern Arizona Wine Country over Labor Day weekend. We also have a trip planned to Tampa Florida to visit family and spend 2 days in Disneyworld over Fall Break in October. Before you know it, it'll be the end of the year! Stay tuned for future emails and/or blog posts updating you on the wedding planning process and timelines. Until then...happy browsing! And...don't forget to book your room soon! Sign, Future Joy & Brett Lorenzen Travelers, it can take up to 2 months to obtain a passport, consider taking a look at your currently issued passports expiration date. If you don't currently have a passport or yours will be expired before we travel. Please take the moment now to comlete the registration or renewal paperwork. Sincerely, Future Brett and Joy Lorenzen For all Arizona Travelers, as you may or may not know, Arizona Drivers Licenses do not currently meet our domestic travel requirements. I was notified by ADOT that starting October 1st, 2019 we must have a passport or new Arizona Travel ID which can be obtained from www.servicearizona.com to travel domestically. Of course I am aware that this is an international flight and a passport will be required. Sincerely, Future Brett and Joy Lorenzen
We have unfotunately become aware of a minimum stay requirement for our room block rate. The wedding couple is awarded with room upgrades, and other freatures for total nights booked, and we must book a minimum to keep the rates. While we understand that for financial reasons or taking time off work you may have to stay just two night. However, this makes an all-inclusive much less enjoyable with a day to arrive and a day to fly home you only get one day at the resort. Therefore we highly encourage booking at least 3 nights. Sincerely, Future Brett and Joy Lorenzen We are not wasting any time, good thing too, the resort was almost booked up. We have put money down for July 11th, 2020. So excited to share this special few days with everybody. Make it a family trip Dreams Play Mujeres is a family all inclusive resort with many childrens activities where you rest and they play. However, please note at this time the wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception is planned to be adult only. As we move closer we will work out arrangements for the children that have come for vacation. |
