Throughout this process you will find time and time again that we are very non-traditional in our wedding decisions and our wedding party is no exception. Brett and Joy will have both a Groomswoman and a Bridesman as we are calling them. When you see them standing and walking down the aisle appearing to be on the wrong sides, they are not, this was planned. Additionally, the women have been authorized to choose whatever dress they want as long as it is the correct color, therefore, they many not all match but it will be more useful for them. The men will not wear tuxedos or coats due to the heat on the beach. See below for more inforamation on the wedding party and their relationshp to the bride and groom.

Sarah McAllister

Joy met Sarah in 2014. Sarah was in Joy's Masters in Elementary Education iTeach cohort at ASU. In September 2014, Sarah graciously offered to take Joy in when her current roommate situation didn't work out. The rest is history! Sarah and Joy quickly became best friends and "sisters". Joy moved with Sarah when she bought her first house in Surprise. She lived with Sarah until April 2016 when she got a place of her own. Although Sarah now resides in Chicago, IL, Joy visits often to spend time with Sarah and her godson Emmett.

Jessica Moore

Joy met Jess in 2016. Jess was the Organizer of the West Valley Friends Meetup that Joy joined. Jess and Joy quickly became close friends. Jess was a teacher in her first year of teaching and so was Joy. In the summer of 2016, Joy and Jess attended a new teacher conference in Tucson, AZ and their friendship continued to grow. Joy and Jess enjoyed many wine nights and long conversations on anything and everything. They took many mini-trips around Arizona and California. In summer 2017, Jess moved to Wisconsin to be closer to family. Jess now resides in Chicago, IL. Joy visits Chicago often and enjoys her adventures in Chicago with Jess!

Hector Cariello

Joy met Hector in 2016 at a Paint & Sip through Meetup; Hector was one of the only men in the group. They are both co-organizers of West Valley Friends Meetup group. Since becoming friends, they have celebrated a few holidays together including the 4th of July at Disneyland and New Years Eve in San Diego. They have shared dating stories, both good and bad. Hector gives Joy a hard time, makes Joy laugh, but always has Joy's back. Hector was one of the Joy's first friends to meet Brett. Hector lives in Glendale, AZ 5 minutes from where Joy's house is located. 

Adrian Gonzalez

Adrian and Brett met late 2013 through a Meetup group. Soon after Brett offered Adrian a room for rent. Brett and Adrian had a great roommate situation and a close relationship was created. Adrian remains one of Brett's closest and most important sources for friendly advice and support.

Kelly Miller

Kelly and Brett met in 2010 at which time both of us were going through some difficult situations with work. Kelly and Brett built a strong friendship that continues as we know that we are there to support each other.

Davis Fox

Davis aka "Fox" and Brett are Theta Xi Fraternity Brothers from the Alpha Eta Chapter at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Fox started his studies in Engineering but eventually realized it wasn't for him. Fox was a reliable brother that put the fraternity as one of his top priorities. Fox relocated back to the Phoenix area in January 2019 to be the Head of Boy Scouts of Arizona. Since then, Brett and Fox have strengthened their brotherhood and friendship, especially through COVID. Brett and Fox share a love of craft beer and escape rooms.
